I'm hunting for a good cape... possibly dynamic, doesn't have to be.

I have looked at Xena's capes over at PP, but I do not care for the full mantle and they do not seem to have any options to change the geometry.

So... anyone? Think Superman more than Batman (Xena's capes would be perfect for Bats), or even better: Shazam aka Captain Marvel.

I have access to many conversion tools, so I can probably fudge it if the original item is not for the figures I want it for (David, Luke, Hiro).

Thanks in advance! I know someone out there will point me in the right direction.

Try these links:

Renderosity search for "Cape"

Renderosity search for "Cloak"

Cage's Batgirl Cape

A3 Cloak  (a transmap can be created to hide the hood, and the cape rescaled to fit another figure)

Apollo Cape

http://www.philc.net   (hooded Cape)

http://www.animotions.com      Animotions has lots of free superhero-oriented stuff. Registration required, but also free. If you can't find a conforming cape made specifically for Michael 3, you can position it into place and then parent the cape's "chest" to Michael 3's chest.

estherau gives this suggestion in another thread:  "there's a really easy way of making a cape in the cloth room that's dynamic. you use the square and set it tio ignore the head of the person, which then pops through the cape"

Cage Posted this in another thread:  "http://www.kuroyumes-developmentzone.com/~Cage/Clothroomcape.zip
I posted this a long time ago, but never reallt tested it extensively, myself. The materials are grouped to allow it to appear as a "bat cape" or as a normal cape."

The most versatile cape I have seen for Poser is the one in Predatron's "Superhero Complete" package.  It's made for Victoria 3 but can be parented to any figure successfully.

Good points:  It has great scaling and movement morphs, lots of material zones and several options to change the default appearance.  Of all the posable capes I've used, this one is the absolute best.

Bad points:  The "Sawtooth Edge" morph is pretty rubbish so if you want to do a pic with Batman, I advise you make a transmap for the bottom, rather than use the morph.

One other tip for use:  Ensure you check "Normals Forward" when you use it otherwise it doesn't render particularly well.

Wow... thanks I will certainly look through that.

I have already been through animotions, many times...

I don't really care for the Daz cloaks very much; they just do end up looking like a fantasy type cloak.

But you sure have given me a lot to search through.  Thanks again

I had utterly forgotten there was a cape in the Superhero Complete set... shame on me.  I better go look for that!

Thanks ST!
