If I were to purchase canned animation poses for Vicky or Mike, instead of going through the entire rigging process, could they be used in Carrara 6 Pro?

They can be used in Mic or Vic. If they are bvh motion files you will end with a little difficult timeline to adjust if needed, just because this kind of file create a frame by frame based animation, not using interpolation (inbeteween frames). But at same time youcan create clips with portions of the motion files that can be combined as motion clip.

bvh files often work with aiko and the included daz characters. they don't work with apollo yet.
if they don't work in c6pro, they may work in poser 7, from which a pz3 file can be exported
with an animation that may work better in c6pro than the raw bvh file.
