Hi all,

The eyedropper does not function as expected:

  1. Drag an existing shader (eg. gold) to an object
  2. Select "eyedropper"
  3. click on the object with gold shader. The eyedropper tip turn black.
  4. Click on another object with the tip of eyedropper.
  5. Test render (Last object is still using default grey shader!!! It should have been gold shader.)
(The newest patch 6.03 of Carrara was installed)

Do you use "eyedropper" without any problems?
What's wrong with the above step? Any ideas?

Thanks in advance
Smile

Seems to work exactly, as allways, for me!

If the object you are coloring with the eye dropper has any shading domains, the dropper will only change a single domain, not the whole object. Sometimes, even the single domains won't pick it up. Can you show a screen capture of your object? That might help us figure out what isn't behaving on your end. Everything works as expected here.

If I drag the shader directly to the blade, it is changed immediately.
I tried to follow "Carrara 5 pro handbook" tutorial.
Filename is "fan_untextured.car"

Have you tried to rag a shader from the browser over this blade? Maybe a problem with the domains in the object.

@GKDantas: Dragging the shader from browser to blade directly is ok.

@MarkBremmer: the demo file has multiple shading domains. That's why it cannot be changed? Why dragging from brower is allowed?

Sometimes the dropper "sees" domains and other times it doesn't. Wish I could tell you why. When I encounter this issue, I'll just do a drag and drop instead.
