I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about how I could create a groomed cedar hedge in c6pro. The only way I can think of would be to group together a whole bunch of trees close to each other, but that doesn't seem like a good use of memory.

Like GKDantas says. If you use replicator it will create instances which are a lot more memory efficient than manually making copies. I believe this is how HowieFarkes creates his amazing outdoor scenes. You can see them here:
