I've been loving Carrara for years now and I really like Carrara 6. I am using it more and more for not only rendering and, lately with posing my characters and scene set up, but also my animations, though I ususally set them up in Poser and then import it.
 
I've just uploaded a Dance sequence using both keyframing and Mocap onto the Vimeo site:

I am anxious to learn more (specifically am looking to learn NLA in Carrara 6), Hair and dynamics.
