Hi all
So, with the really huge interest in chapter1, Ive put up chapter 2 of "Devil's Tears" at youtube.
This is rather a mediocre scene in the animation, but sets the stage for the action to come in the next/final 2 chapters of the short.
Interesting facts::
The interior of the ship is all bryce render.
The ship stills in space, the ship fleet, the animation of the characters is Carrara
all special effects are After Effects
some of the shots are over 50 layers deep.
and, this one scene will fill my DAZ tellware obligation..for ohhh..about 1000 years!

Great work!! Hopefully everyone can appreciate the work involved. Especially working by yourself. How many months have you been working on it, if I may ask? I have a couple of animations with stories written and with character designs that are nearly finished and rigged. Personally I run out of motivation from time to time. My client workload is so heavy lately that I really dont feel like doing much personal animation when I finally get a chance. Bravo to you for undertaking this and seeing it through. Cant wait to see the final short. You are inspiring me to continue working on my projects. Keep posting please!!

and thats EXACTLY what this animation is all about. Thank you for saying this.
it took a little over a year weekends, evenings, and nights...
but remember, I modeled almost everything, built all the scenes (even if some contain store-bought items), had to learn zbrush and bodypaint not to mention overcome a lot of software and hardware issues.
it was worth it tho.
stay tuned...

For one who is still struggling enough to get good still images it is great work! Thank you.
You may cry when you have a good look at 3D Brush ( as a replacement for zBrush and 3dPaint !)

Brycetech, These two episodes are great! I actually like this one a little better than the first because it really felt like the characters were in the scene and the camera switches were very realistic. It is also incredibly funny to those of us who use these tools. ;-)
Keep up the good work.
