i do majority of my modelling in blender, and i know how to do things there.
but one thing i can't seem to do is take a model with bones, and export it to Carrara.
i made of a room, with a door that swings open, basicly

so do i need to a) choose a particular format to export bone information? or b) not possible to import bones and i need to recreate them in carrara? or........

I'm no expert in Blender (or Carrara) but I don't think you can take bones into Carrara from another program, other that Daz or Poser. But, you don't need to use bones to open a door - just move the hot point to the pivot point on the door and use a constraint - I like custom, lots of options. The bone in Carrara will try and bend the door, unless you work with specific areas the bones will affect.

Never Give Up!

Hi anxcon, The only export format that Blender has that is a candidate to work is .fbx. However, I've never been able to get .fbx export content from blender into Carrara. Carrara is not the only 3d software manufacturer that has issues with .fbx. Almost all do - it's a little goofy.
