I wanted to add character to a balloon using morphs - this is what I came up with. The balloon needs tobe set up to morph the face with all verticies and sides/faces set - I learned the hard way that you can't add verticies or connect verticies after you've set the morph area.. crash. I didn't spend too much time on the face after the crash. I wonder if someone has done something like this before... I've posted the .gif. R

Okay, I need to stop, but here is another 1/2 hour of modifications on the first face - I'm having all kinds of trouble adding morphs to the morph with animation - once you have a morph, say the face, then to add the lips or brow moving on top of the morph means duplicating the morph, adding changes to the full morph, and then playing around with the animation until it works - otherwise I was getting double morphs - very scary looking faces!

Great! Looking at that thing is hypnotic, yet disturbing in some way. That animation coming through a vanity mirror would be striking. A magical face on some wizards enchanted door would be another possibility.

the red one is not bad IMVHO! displacement map is third possibility.

Here she is if anyone wants it. Download and change .txt to .car - and sorry, it's carpro6. Thanks Miss Nancy and Dogbite - the mirror is a great idea... a magic chest... a hat...oh yeah, that's been done...

Okay, I was inspired by the mirror idea. I'll post the file after. Another way would be to puch an actual face through the mirror or balloon, but this works - a face in the water - or texture maps- that would work too.

Its incredible. Almost like the one in Shrek. Great job. Those faces have a ton of potential! Even if you don't do full animations they would make great Gif images for a myspace or website.

No, I wish I was that good... It's by Alessandro Baldasseroni, my favorite cg artist. Its a promo for the xbox game, GUN. This is his page, he's got lots of good work.
