A long story about problems in other apps, including nerbs apps, but I REALLY though I should be able to do this boolean in Carrara.

Part 1 taken from part 2, but Carrara goes bonkers at the idea!  Any comments/suggestions welcome.

Hi BTWR, It looks like they're may not be enough polygons on the two original items. You may want to do a little subdividing of each item first. Having enough information at the start of the process is critical. Of course, you always try to keep the poly count as low as possible but if there isn't enough data, you're asking Carrara to make up data and hoping that it guesses correctly. Mark

Thanks Mark. I see on another forum thread that there IS a confirmed Boolean problem in Carrara 6--still needing to be fixed! I will hold off grumping until I hear the result.

ANOTHER BUG!???
Spin Modifier.
I find some uncertainty in the setting for Spin direction (the minus setting) and the spin speed (per second settings)
It would be great if someone could check these out and report as a bug if confirmed.

Looks like n-gon problems to me, on the faces formed by the seperation.
Could you post a wire showing the bottom of object #1 and the top of object #2?

Friends don't let friends use booleans.

Sorry for the delay.  I am annoyed(?) at a lot of problems in a lot of apps, including Hexagon, and, at the moment, I am awaiting clarification of the Carrara boolean problems before I go further.

Let it be in the wait and see list for the moment perhaps.
