I am trying to fill the glass shape in the attached image with, say , bubbles--using an emitter.

In Carrara 6 there seem to be some differences to C5 workings. Anyway, I would appreciate (comprehensive!) help in attaining my end results in C6 if possible please.

Hi bwtr -

I am rendering an animation now to see if I understand what you are wanting to do here. So far, I haven't noticed any difference between C5 and C6 emitters. I'll post the link soon so you can tell me if I have it right :)

Thank you for all that trouble. It seems on the track of where I wanted to head. Can you show the settings maybe that, obviously, I have forgotten how to set correctly, please.

The attached image is the inspitation for which I want to attain with the next stage of working. I thought the idea was a piece of cake but the old mind dissagread!

Do you want it animated? If not, think about using a dress or object to surround the body, putting surface replicator on it with a bubble replicated over the surface, then hide the dress... you can have several layers of dress/bubble if needed to get the desired effect. If you animated the bubble, say... size, shader, etc. it would play out.. you and animate the dress and the replicator will follow it.

Just to show I understood. The various actions--I think the next stage working is VERY clear in my head. Hope to show tomorrow. Thanks again for removing my mind fixation!

Not a pretty render. I used part of the Aiko3s obj file to make the "dress"! I still think there may be some better effects, faster rendering?, going down the emmitter way.

Tomorrow!

Looks good, try a variety of bubble sizes - you and add several objects to replicate over the surface - or several surface replicators . is it the highlight that is over powering the image? Maybe try knocking down the highlight... have you tried animating? You could even try growing the bubbles and having them pop! You'll have to have 3-4 different instances replicated and moved to animate seconds apart to make the effect look believable. Try putting the girl into the dress : ) Can't wait to see what you come up with next.

Never Give Up!

I guess/hope this is enough to prove the potentials in the exercise. Thanks for the help.
