I imported a poser scene into carrara and somehow totally at random in some room and with some button revealed the mystery dials that would enable me to create animation in Carrara like in Poser you know the buttons on the freak that say rotate shoulder forward/backwards...now I cannot for the life of me find those buttons.

Please advise and thank you.

Plus I was going to try to add anyglows light to the eyes of the poser figure but when I go to the poser figure in the scene and click on the eyes and go to edit the pulldown menu for adding an anything glows light is greyed out.

add the eyeglow using the glow channel in the eyewhite shader tree. it appears that, in c6pro, one inserts "anything glows", then adds the eyes to the list of the "only" objects that glow. it allows me to do that, but I can't tell if they're emitting lite. select the body in the instances list, and the FBM sliders (if any) are at the bottom of the "general" tab.

Well I selected V3 in the instances tab, (for all Carrara newcomers like myself the instances tab is located in a panel on the bottom right hand side of the Carrara screen when the scene is displayed, the panel has five tabs the first tab is 'instances' your character should appear in this instances list + a list of lights in the poser scene. Anyway I selected V3 from this list but there are no manipulation controls showing in the general tab so where do I go from here?

At this point, there are no motion contols/dials as in Poser per se. There are three ways to control the motion in Carrara: 1) usng the direct numeric input in the fields under the Motion tab in the Properties Pallet - just like inputing numbers next to the dials in Poser, or 2) Use the Universal manpulation tool - simply click on a body part, or 3) select the body part in the Instances Tab, like "hand" for example - you'll see a list of sliders for morphs and movements. These sliders only go to a value of 1 but can manually input a higher number in the field right next to them. Now, for motions like Twist for the neck, the ony way to do that is with the Univeral Manipulator or by indicating a rotational value under the Motion tab. Carrara is not Poser. :-/ So, some things are different. What I really do like is the drag-and-drop morphing clothes; that saves 3 mouse/menu actions for each item. That's how they should always have worked in Poser.
