I just bought Carrarra 6 and am going to learn how to use it.  I'm redoing my hard drive and what to reinstall is what I'm in a quandry about.  I have Poser 6 and Poser 7, though I haven't used 7 much. Since I have to reinstall all my items and want to use the items in Carrara, would one poser be better over another?  I also thought I'd install Daz and learn how to use that as well. I know my items, or at least some of them, can go into Dstudio as well. I haven't been creating things for about a year and haven't kept up on the forums. I did read through as much as I could in the last two days but I still don't know what to do.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Carrara has some problems with Poser 7 so, for a start, just install Poser 6 and the very latest version of DAZ Studio,

Later, when you learn the workarounds you may  want to install Poser 7.

If you have the disk space, I'd leave both P6 and P7 on. What's to lose? With Carrara 6, my need to use Poser has diminished drastically. I don't have DAZ's Mimic so I still periodically use Poser 7 Talk designer but that means I also have to render those projects with Poser. Walk Designer is still nice to have around but I'd use P6's to avoid compatiblity issues with Carrara. Other than Walk and Talk designers, Carrara 6Pro can really handle most everything else - especially once the bugs in the releasee version get ironed out. The Carrara hair is amazing.
