Hi, all --

I will be getting the C6Pro upgrade from C5P soon, but have a question I haven't see answered yet about using DAZ content (Michael, Victoria, Hiro, etc) in C6P.

My current character animation workflow is to do pose-to-pose animation in Poser and play it back inside Poser to get the sense of motion timing (using the "box" preview mode that only shows the bounding boxes, but plays in real time).  Once the motion is set in Poser, I import to Carrara 5 Pro using Transposer.  When there's a figure in Carrara, the interface slows to the speed of molasis in the dead of winter, but I'm able to set my lights, area render to see how the final image will look, and set up basic camera moves before rendering the scene.

My question is, will I be able to skip the Poser step with the new C6P?  I remember reading somewhere that the interface is much faster with DAZ content now.  Is that true?  Will figure animations play back in real time in the assemble room?  Have they improved the Open GL implementation on this release?

If the answer is no, I'm going to start creating shots for my next project now, using the tools I already have.  But if C6P moves as quickly as Poser when posing and animating characters, I'll wait until DAZ figures out where they put my C5P serial number (that doesn't show up in my user account, even though I registered my Eovia purchase with them after they bought Carrara -- but I digress to a whole different rant).

So, do I wait?

Thanks!
Dex
