1.  Is there anyway to display the atmos in your working space( I know I could render & then use as a backdrop - but was wanting more or less a point of reference - if that makes sense.

2.  Can you apply wind to imported trees such as Xfrog - or if you you save them as .car

3.  Can C create bump maps w/out you having to create one in an outside program.....For example in Vue if you click on the bump channel a map will auto be generated from the original color map

Thanks :)

Hi dlk30341, 1. No, you can only do backdrops - but they can be animated. The best you can do go to the Interactive Render Settings and choose to light your scene with the scene lights option. At least you'll get a good approximation of lighting. 2. No - only with Carrara native trees. A little texture editing will create Xfrog-ish trees though. You can even use the Xfrog texture maps if you like. 3. Just option/alt drag the texture map from the color channel into the bump channel. (this will copy it) You can also select the color channel, copy it, and then paste it into the bump channel also. Mark

Thanks Mark :)

Regarding number 3 - I've tried copying the color map into the bump channel & it displays as a color image.  Am I to assume that in fact it is being read by C as a grey scale map?

Yes, it's only read as a grayscale image.
