I downloaded C6 Pro last night, installed and entered serial number. Program opens, serial number is on spash screen and program works. When I quit the program and re-open it, it asks for the serial number again. I've trashed prefs, re-installed the app, but no luck. Anyone else having this problem? I'm running on a PPC G5 Mac.

Maybe ..you put it on a CD ? and installed from that ?
Just chekc if the files are not Write only !!
When a file is write only the serial number is only in memory and not written to the file because of the write protection...
Just my 2 cents ;}

Thanks for trying, but I installed with the installer on the desktop. I have re-downloaded the installer and re-installed, but still the program asks for my serial number each time I launch it. It's rather frustrating. Chucker

I'm on a Mac, but yes - I have checked the Carrara folder, the application itself and even the folder contents of the application to make sure they are all Read/Write. Does anyone know where the serial number is stored on the Mac and what file it is in? Chucker

I dunno where the serial number is stored, but c6pro X has a module that tries to connect to the daz site on startup. if ya kill that process with little snitch, c6pro X might work better. in OS X, I installed c6pro X in a c6pro folder in the applications folder of main drive. installed all content in said c6pro folder.

Thanks Chris, for putting me on the right search trail. I ran Disk Repair and repaired permissions and that fixed the problem. The program now launches clean without asking me for the serial number. Thanks! Chucker
