I didn't see any product/purchase links at daz for C6 standard, just C6 pro.
Did I miss something or is there not going to be a standard version?

Yeah you missed the topics at DAZ....
Pro is first released basic is later......

I have Carrara 5 standard.If i don't make animation ,is Carrara pro is a good avenue for me ??Or just wait for Carra standard??

The main difference between 5 and 5 Pro was, I think network rendering, more animation features, and a couple of modelers that Standard wasn't offering. Since I do very little modeling and want the program essentially as a way of creating new environments for my Poser figures, I don't think I'll do the Pro version.

Well, I just want meshes from Carrara. Foliage and terrains (and now oceans :) ) mainly. I like it's skies too, and make .exr skydomes out of them.
I have somebody that frequents DAZ that will send me an email when DAZ gets around to the standard version release.

You can joint the DAZ forums for free .. justlike these ..

I'm a member of DAZ Forums, I just don't go there anymore.

Their holding back the Standard version so their servers don't meltdown, Im guessing, lol(Pro files are larger?). So maybe by next week, C5std to->C6 std users should get some news. As for what features are in C6 std, I think(another guess) 90% or more of the past sneak peeks will be in there. Im looking forward to the OpenGL speed.

Hmm, I wasn't far off about the 90% or more of the sneak peaks being in C6 Std. Im very glad my top 3 sneak peaks made it into the Std version too,...plus one; the graph editor? ...nice! I have uninstalled 2 other 3d apps to make room.

To add to my above post; Ok,...the Animation Graph Editor is a Pro only feature.
