I know Blender veterans probably kill me for asking this but...

I can live with Blender's selection with right mouse button scheme. But if I change modelers (as I need to do) or just do something else in some other app, I lose the concentartion and then it takes time to get used to making selections with right mouse button.

I KNOW that it can be changed. But if I change selection to left mouse button, then I can rotate with ALT-LMB or pan with SHIFT-ALT-LMB. These are also the settings I'm used to in Blender AND in other apps.

So, the actual question: is it possible to get LMB to select AND ALT-LMB to rotate and SHIFT-ALT_LMB to pan? It seems I can get one but not both. 

There are so many things where Blender is so flexible I just wonder if someone has solved this...
