Thanks Mark, I could spend hours working on the weights for mesh/bone interaction - the fins are moving more than I like - they need adjusting as to no be influenced by the tail bones.

not bad - rainbow trout + dimetrodon + smilodon. a fish body tends to move using sinusoidal bending that's hard to describe. but they can make a very small movement that will shoot them thru the water at high speed.

Thanks, I need to work on a new texture - something like a tiger or pitbull. The rainbow texture is way too sweet for this hunter. I'll google the sinusoidal bending... never heard of it - is it anything like the worm? ( the only breakdance move I remember)

it's an s-shape. trout are territorial and actually bend themselves into an s-shape (in a display position) when defending their territory against another trout. if the other trout doesn't move away, then they strike.
