It is a big piece of dung. It's total crap. Never go near it. It will change your life for the worst.  I’ve had it two months and I’ve aged 10 years. People are asking me what’s wrong. Vista is what’s wrong, every freakin time I turn it on.  I tried to change the name of a folder I had created earlier, and it denied me access to do so.  Told me that I needed  permission to do so, and of course declined to tell me how to get permission to change the name of my own damn folder. And if you want to delete something, you better pack your lunch.  Window after window come up and tells you someone is trying to use the computer, and of course it's just me.  It's the biggest ton of crap that's ever been thrust on the consumer.   Even God would look the other way on that one. And any software you have already?  Forget it. Even my web cam is not compatible with Vista.  You can't use your ipod with Vista (read a lot of them have been damaged).  You can’t do anything with Vista. And then a window comes up from time to time saying Windows Explorer is shutting down, and it doesn't know why. It takes a FULL gig of RAM just to operate Vista.  You need a minimum of 2 gigs on your computer just to function. But it does have a temperature setting on my desktop. Problem is, the temp is usually wrong. . I'm in the market for a Mac.  Those Apple commercials on TV are way too easy on Vista. You have no idea how frustrating it is when you can't even find what you're looking for, and that damn window comes up and tells you you don't have access to whatever it is you want.  Says you must have permission first.  From who?  Why??? Everytime you do anything you have to go through several windows! “Vista has determined that someone is trying to do such ‘n such. Should Vista allow?  Then when you click “hell yes” it says, Continue?  Permission allowed?  Sometimes it’s not worth trying.  . I know this note will accomplish nothing, other than people thinking I’m crazy, but trying to do basic shyte with Vista will make ANYONE crazy! It was either rant here or kill myself. And I still have the urge to kill myself anyway, but I'm sure Vista would probably tell me that I need permission first. Vista can go to hell   Vista is worse than worthless.  Far worse.  This is only the tip of the iceberg. There. I'm through.  marshall
