If any of you read Cinefex, their latest issue talks about the FX in Zak Snyders film, "300". There is a scene in the film in which a tree is heavily adorned with dead bodies. That scene was first visualized in poser and then recreated as a (live, physical) prop.
Pretty cool stuff.

you mean they posed some live human extras in the "tree of woe"? anyway, thx fr the info. maybe they also did a poser render of leonidas in front of a pile of shields and spears, prior to shooting the scene with the actor. or maybe they rendered the pile and composited it into the green- screen shot of leonidas. what I read was that the whole thing was shot in a big sound studio or warehouse.

The tree looks great!, now we can hang some people there.
Any volunteer?
