After playing around with C5Pro for about 6 months and getting nowhere (I use Maya a lot, but can't justify its cost!), I finally broke down and ordered the Carrara 5 Pro Handbook by Mike de la Flor from Amazon. Someone please tell me that this isn't just a rehash of the PDF user manual that comes with C5Pro!

Have it on my desk as I type this....and have been going through it methodically. It is very very good. Is well worth it. If you want to get a pretty good understanding of Carrara 5 this is a great start.

The book is quite helpful, with great tutorials. You will, at times, however, have to work in tandem with the instruction manual, because the book presumes that the given user has a working knowledge of the tools in the workspace. Most of them are obvious, but some are not.
