This is from EON tech support:
Quote " We have identified and fixed potential memory leaks regarding Poser import today, but if the problem is not specific to Poser, another problem might still be there. We double checked the code for free resources evaluation, and it is indeed working like in Vue 5 and early Vue 6 builds, so the problem is not related. This is therefore probably some memory leak regarding undo/redo history or something like that."
I posted this at EON & in another thread here also - for those who just go there. Relief is in sight!
I thought it best to start a new thread so it wouldn't get buried any further.

This is good news, as no matter what I import from Poser 7, Vue 6Inf will...eventually...crash. It may take awhile, but it will happen.
I'd rather stay in my lane than lay in my stain!

I've suspected that the undo system was causing problems for a while in Vue 6. I have my undo set down to 1 - the lowest number. I wish there was a way to totally disable the undo system or have the undo system write undo operations to a disk cache instead of memory.

I agree dbrudick 100% - I have mine set at 1 & only use it if I accidently move my camera in some bizarre way.
