I've been using Terragen for a while now and immediately tried the tech preview of Terragen 2 when it became available, only to find it extremely power hungry when you start to add object populations so I resorted to trying Bryce for landscapes which I could forest or make very rocky, and Bryce seemed easy to achieve the desired result quickly and easily (albeit less realistic then Terragen) so on recommendation I have now purchased Carrara 5 pro and I'm loving it, the only problem is I can't seem to figure out how to replicate or instance trees and such and have been painstakingly trying to add trees one at a time and place them as required, which of course is lot of work for what could end up being a crappy image.

I've done various searches (which led me to this site) but can't find that info anywhere. Please could someone point me in the right direction?? (I know the answer is probably staring me right in the face in Carrara's UI or menus but can't see it).
