I remember way back when, poser contests and challenges were pretty frequent, nowadays though it seems like they dont exist anymore.

I think they're still monthly, but with very few entries. Lack of interest??
I jointly won the November one, sounds good until you realise there were only about 6 entries.
Kind of lost interest due to this and poor organisation, ie. poor communication, ignored closing dates, late judgings etc.
I like the concept, but what's the point when it's so poorly patronised and only a half-hearted effort on Rendos part.

aah, so bad support and badly run contests killed the scene hey?

bummer. the forums seemed to have died a bit since 10+ months ago. a shame

I don't want to sound too critical of how they were/are run. When I complained they did give
me what sounded like good excuses - someone in hospital, someone not there. They must
be running on a skeleton staff over at Rendo. When someone's away, it doesn't get done.
Nobody seems able to cover for anyone else's job these days, not just at Renderosity.

I posted this last summer.  I think there have been one, maybe two challenges since then? 

Neither Challenge focused on; Figures/Posing, Holidays, worthy causes, or had any prize.
