I would love to be able to keep working in Carrara while I render. Is there a way? Don't say, " 2 computers," I already thought of that. Or, "Run Carrara 4 at the same time." I just hate the wait when I render a large file. Just about the time I have it half rendered, I see a change I want to make - but I'm not always ready to abort.

If you have dual processors, turn off multi-threading.

If you batch render, you can keep working. But there is a bit of a performance hit.

Queue it up.... Multi-threading or no...the performance will be relevant to your computer. That is the whole point of the batch render... to go do something else.
No need to think outside the box....
Just make it
invisible.
