where do I go to access the instant message archive?

I clicked the site mail link earlier but thought that was for emails only..didnt think to try the drop down menu

Site mail and IM's are 2 different things right? So where are the IM Archives They aren't in the site mail page , I just checked.

They are there in the sent item like Tom showed you and no the site mail is the IM system to send a email you go to their homepage to send that.

Correct, you have INBOX, SENT and ARCHIVED mail in the Site mail system.
