So, the earlier thread about volumetric clouds got me inspired and I put together an image of an impending storm.
For those of you who are new, we used to do "fifteen minute challenges" in the Carrara/RDS forum -- just put together an image and post it. We're not offering any prizes or anything -- just something to spend a few minutes on, learn some new techniques, get some pointers from the other forum members, make something cool, and have some fun.
So, here's my fifteen minute challenge: "Bad Weather."
And in the interest of full disclosure, I spent about four hours making this image, but only could spend a few minutes every so often, so all said and done, I spent about half an hour. Still, it's OK for the fifteen minute challenge....
This is all Carrara except for the lightning bolt which is Photoshop post work. I LOVE how the volumetric clouds interact with the bulb light placed within them.
Post some bad weather images!
Come on! You know you want to!
