Hi there forum! How does Carrara stack up and compare to say...VUE? Bryce? Poser? Where are the correlations? Which programs are the closest in comparison? How does it rank with other programs and what are the key functions? (*As in Plants, People, Buildings????)

Carrara is more complete in terms of being able to do everything. Vue and Bryce have definate modeling restrictions but do beautiful landscapes. The best way to really see the differences and the power of Carrara is simply to download the Demo and take it for a spin.

ThanX mark! I plan to get Carrara 5/PoserImport tomorrow. I wanted to see the differences in programs as I own Bryce/Hexagon/Shade and Poser...but I was going to purchase VUE5Pro, and after encountering the poor CS provided from the Oregon branch.  I now think my money would be better spent elsewhere, if you get my drift.  So one of the ways I find out what certain programs do is look here at our Galleries! I notice most people post pics with Poser imports, But I didn't see a lot of Landscape pics. That is why I asked. But now that you mention it, I think I will drive before I buy!
