I just purchased Architools and find it's really easy to create buildings.  However, when trying to add multiple roofs to the same building, I get nothing.

I deleted the roof, then tried to create a new roof but it doesn't show up in the 3D or 2D views at all.  I applied the update to Architools so I'm wondering if this is part of the problem.  I tried asking about the multiple roofs in the DAZ forums, but no one seems to be able to answer this question probably because they don't have this add on.

Anyone here have Architools? The first problem was multiple roofs; now the problem is adding just one roof.  The tutorials that come with it are too vague and don't offer a solution.  Otherwise, creating buildings with this add on are very simple and a lot of fun.  I just wish I could get the roof thing to work.

I received some help at the DAZ forums for Carrara and found out that my problem is that I've been deleting the cap (ceiling) from each of the rooms because I wanted to add some interior walls.  After adding them back, the different roofs are now do-able.

I was glad to hear from the creator of this marvelous add-on program.  I really like it, but the instructions (I'm sorry to say) aren't very thorough.  I jumped from Carrara 3 to 5 and there's a bit of a learning curve there as well.

Thanks again.  If I run into other difficulties, I will send them directly to you (Julian) along with the file.
