does cararra 5 pro import dem files ?
if not is there a work around which does not involve buying the ground control plug in?
like maybe import dem to bryce then export the resulting mesh out of bryce into a format that C5pro can import?

MicroDEM (Windoze only) is a little (and free) program that will read most types of DEM files and will also convert them to OBJ or DXF files. It doesn't have a very pretty interface, but it works well.

The DCG plug-in opens up a whole new world of access to terain stuff. One of the essentials for Carrara for me.

I probabley buy those sometime. right now I'm just looking for free solution.
the DCG guy sould make one product bundle that includes everything he makes on one dvd for $250.00 with free ugrades to everything made in the next year. Just dreaming :)
