Hi all,
I have recently purchased Carrara 5, and have been exploring the Vertex modeller, with the help of the PDF manual. There are a few references to the chamfer tool, but I couldn't find this anywere.
Can someone help on this.
thanks and regards,
Andrew

I think it is the fillet tool. I don't really model in c5. I looked iin docs and interface. Saw no chamfer tool or pic of icon. That is confusing. Someone who does model in c5 can confirm. Once it is sorted out I would report it.
No need to think outside the box....
Just make it
invisible.

Thanks, I think I have seen the same answer somewhere else since I posted this.

The Chamfer tool is the same as the bevel tool. Yep, the manual doesn't show the icon and sometimes refers to it as the fillet, bevel or chamfer. When you select the tool, you set the parameters off to the right -- the depth and the number of "steps" (I think -- I don't have C5 on this machine). The higher the number of steps, the smoother the chamfer.
It's actually a really nice tool; would be nicer if you could find it from reading the manual!
HTH.

I think the program itself calls it the "fillet" tool. I don't remember ever seeing a "bevel" tool in the Vertex modeller's arsenal.
