Subject: image compression in the forum

just posted something in the showcase forum & was dissapointed to see the image compression.I guess if we want images seen at full size we host them ourselves?

The image can be clicked and shown full-size. It isn't shown full-size in the actual FORUM because large images could blow up the page design.

any chance of increasing the width?..it seems 400 pixels is a bit small & it's leaving areas of blank space beside each image.at least take it to the width of the post area I would have thought 600x to be the norm when defining how wide an image is for forum display especially on a graphics oriented website

Why would you need anything over 400x400 in the forums anyway??...this isnt the gallery

err..showcase forum is generally for showcasing things by way of images..expecting users to click on every image is not really a solution 400X is just too small & it may not be a gallery but it is an art site yes?..then why restrict graphics to such a small size?
