I was trying Carrara 5 Pro Demo.
I could not open poser file.
Has it been disabled ?
Is Carrara 5 Pro reliable to use with Poser?
Thank you

pz3 files open fine from Poser 5 in the Demo.

Thank you for your response, Shonner.
I was using Poser6.
Does Carrara 5 Pro work with Poser6 ?
Thank you.

C5 Pro opens both Poser native (opens Poser files with no Poser application on you system) as well as using Transposer (which needs a copy of Poser on your system). Make sure you are selecting the option that will work. C5Pro works with both Poser 5 & 6.
The native import will not bring in dynamics, etc., but the native Poser files allows for detailed manipulation of a Poser model within Carrara.

Thank you LCBoliou
I tried to open pz3 file with Poser native.
After 92.9%, C5 Pro froze.
I was not using dynamics.
I also tried Transposer without success.
Am I doing anything wrong ?
Thank you.

Hard to say, but not necessarily, could be a problem. Transposer requires the runtime path.I don't use transposer because I don't use poser. There could be something in the pz3 not liked. I don't use those natively. I am not 100% sure a pz3 is for native, since I don't use them. There are some poser options that need to be turned off normally, I believe.Try a cr2, hr2 or pz2. I think you need to check uncompress geometry files first in poser, then disable use external binary morph targets.Of course, no dynamics. That should work w/ transposer.
No need to think outside the box....
