in C5, under the edit list, their is an opption that says 'envirometal lighting' could someone tell me what this does? cuse i havent the slightest idea.

Environemental lighting is an older setup which was a sort of precursur to GI. It worked and could produce very cool results but has been somewhat superseded by the current indirect and skylight options in the code now. It was something that you used in connection with an anything glows object to get it to be a light source. It still has its uses and does provide good control for using glowing objects as light sources. You can look at the shadow lab tutorial here in the backroom for a couple of hints on how it works. -Kix
