poser5/6 mat room had an N node which output the direction the normal is facing, as RGB (1 channel per axis) it was useful in blending shaders, and doing calcs how do i get the carrara version of it?

Hello Anxcon, Carrara does not have direct complement to the N node. However, it uses some other implementations that can be used to acheive similar results. The Carrara Shader capability is extremely powerful and flexible - but it is different than Poser. Additionally, there are some excellent G-Buffer export options that can be used in post as well. If you have a specific effect you're trying to acheive, just post back. It's easier to describe a solution if there is a goal in mind. ;-) Mark
