I've been playing with PFHoe ( http://www.thepixelfarm.co.uk/contentfull.aspx?content=pfhoe.htm ) and it looks like a great deal... but as far as I can tell it doesn't export the matchmoving formats that Carrara supports. Does anyone know whether it's possible to use PFHoe with Carrara, maybe with some intermediate conversion software? As an added challenge, I'm using a Mac. - Joe

I thought they were creating a plugin for carrara...maybe it isn't ready yet.

Your welcome. Yeah, much better support.This option if it is any good will be much more affordable for many people. Syntheyes is also somewhat more reasonable.

We should see if they do the plugin. It got the most request over there but we continue to waite. Not that I needed cause I purchase SynthEyes and it is excellent.

One question, though: PFHoe exports a variety of formats already, and Carrara imports a couple of matchmoving formats, so is it really necessary for PixelFarm to make a Carrara plugin? Couldn't they add support for Realviz or SynthEyes? Then they would satisfy lots of users, not just Carrara users. Or am I missing something important? (Highly probable, since I know nothing about matchmoving software)

I think the main thing is they have said they were going to add support for several options like carrara and electric image, but it hasn't happened. Since carrara just came out maybe just some patience.
