Subject: Why does Eovia lock so many of the scenes in the demo?

I was a little disappointed that so many of the scenes were locked in the demo. It doesn't make sense for me to spend the time setting up a scene to test ambient occlusion (for example) when they already have a preset scene for it already. Plus this assumes that I even know how to use this feature properly. If not, then I have to take the time to read up on it to make sure the settings are correct. That's the one thing I didn't like about this demo or the Hexagon demo. 30 days is too short when you have to spend a whole day figuring out one feature when there is a preset scene just out of your reach. Anyway, it looks like a great product. Time to update.

That has always been an issue for most demos...too crippled and too short. Vue actually gives you 60days just can't save or export most things and TS is crippled, but didn't seem to really expire. This things definitely take awhile to figure out and you don't want unsatisfied purchasers.

Its actually a secret ploy so that you'll have to buy the program to see how the features work:)

I think having a crippled and time limted demo is silly i wont bother with such "demos" My motionbuilder PLE is very crippled but I have as long as i want to learn the tool set BEFORE BUYING a fully functional version.

C4d was as long as you want when I downloaded the demo ages ago... of course I took it off when I realized I was only dreaming of pradas on a shoestring budget.

HI, I don't think they are "locked" what it is is that they are ommitted to reduce the download size of the demo version. My opinion. Ringo

I haven't seen eovia's stuff too crippled, just short.

I just thought that omitting a scene with a sphere and a cube with different lighting conditions is kind of silly.

Ringo is right. The reason for the scenes to appear locked is simply because we did not want to make the demo too big by including all of them. Charles
