Well, after doing a quick test of converting the model to vertex, that has seemed to clear up the cracking. I love it when I answer my own questions! ;-) However, I'd still like to hear any other ideas or suggestions... does this always happen with spline objects when using modifiers?

Hi Chuck! yes, with spline objects sometimes you can have some strange artifacts. My advice is to work as much as possible with vertex object:-) I haven't use spline modeler since three years ago... -TOXE

In your defense Chuck, I too use the spline modeler a ton. It's a great way to create some shapes quickly and accuratly that would take much longer to make in the vertex modeler. Then you can simply convert them if required.

Ohh my friends, it's obviously a point of view:-) Using also other softwares (Lightwave, Zbrush, Wings), i'm a true friend of polygons (and i need to export/import models from and to this apps), so, i can work better with them and i can think of my maps while i'm modeling. Also, it's much easy to add details. BTW, it's a method of work, every guy use the better for his job. -POLYTOXE;-)

You're right, it is a point of view... I'm just having some fun with you today Davide. ;-)
My opinion is, it doesn't matter what the tool/software is - whatever gets the job done is the right one!
