Over at http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=275658 they have a kitchen OBJ model they've been rendering. I thought I'd try it in Carrara. Here's my kitchen so far. I'm curious how others kitchen renders done in Carrara look.

Excellent opportunity to strut Cararara's stuff. Thanks for posting. Looking good BTW. I'll have to give this one a try myself. Mark

Here's a quick, untextured version rendered with no lights and HDRI.
Hopefully I will post a textured version next week.

Here was my un-textured scene. I used GI with Skylight on and one distant light for Sun.

Here's a Carrara Pro 5 Beta render using Ambient Occlusion instead of Global Illumination. The render was much faster. Just the Sun and realistic sky were used to light the scene. Subsurface Scattering was used on the nekked alien chick.

See, we've always wanted to know if nekkid aliens do exercises in the morning before invading planets. Now we know. :D Ambient Occlusion is a huge time saver. What are your settings? I ask because there is still little noise in shadows of the corners.

The only light in the scene is the Bright Evening Sun from the scene wizard. Ambient light was set to 0%.

Here's one using C5Pro Beta and Indirect Lighting. It's more of a draft render because I had Interpolation on. Didn't want to wait all day for it.

All walls and ceilings accounted for I suppose =P
Looks awesome... Lighting really is the make or break it...
