Which means school again. : ( The picture is a fun little illustration I've concocted through the wonders of Google Earth and Paint Shop Pro. My house isn't built yet in the picture, but the red circle shows its location. The flames are a good approximation of the small fire that was started nearby from airborn embers from the main fire. The one behind my house has been put out today, all the firefighters that are in the area have moved on to the bigger ones a small distance to the north-east. So far, the fires have burned over 20,000 acres, and sent enough smoke and ash into the sky to cover my entire area in a two inch layer of smoldering crap. I've been trying to stay indoors as much as I can, it's still nasty breathing out there. I never evacuated, winds changed at the last minute keeping my fire from getting any closer. However, a lot of my friends had to leave because the bigger fire near them was approaching rapidly. So far, only one home destroyed in total, but theres a few damages, and one elementary school is a bit crispy. If you've been chatting about this with me, or been following the news, you'll know how spooky this was. I thank everyone who had concern. Managed to take a few good pictures, hope you enjoy.
