naw it's actually a rather innocuous verse. then your mouse gets locked into a "cell" and you have to reboot too get control back. keyboard not affected. ( saving of data possible ) no rewriting itself all over the system. delete the actual .dll and edit the registry to clean it. but harmelss fun, for a virus.
"..but harmelss fun, for a virus." Not that harmless, and no fun at all, if you're trying to access a totally inocuous or academic site that happens to contain one of the words that this impertinently holy bluenose disapproves of (and what the hell is "jegger"?). This might not be as damaging as many other trojans, but it's more intrusive than spam and you still have to edit the registry to get rid of it.
I've heard of a number of "joke" or "harmless" viruses -- like the old yankee doodle virus -- which made your PC play a midi version of "Yankee Doodle" at 5:00 in the afternoon every day.
Likewise, I remember the old cascade virus -- it made all of the text on your monitor fall to the bottom of the screen in a pile.
And of course, everyone remembers the old "stoned" virus -- although that particular virus wasn't exactly harmless in its effects. IIRC, it caused black squares to pop up on your screen. Each square contained a message saying something like: "Your computer is stoned, legalize pot".
Great stuff. They just don't make 'em like they used to.........
Verses of Koran?, bad virus! >A good virus is with verses from the Bible Whats the difference? Isn't the Koran the 1st 5 books of the old testament?

A new Trojan horse is serving as a moral guard of sorts, displaying text from the Koran if users visit what could be a pornographic Web site, Sophos warned on Monday. references: http://www.sophos.com/virusinfo/analyses/trojyusufalia.html http://techrepublic.com.com/2100-1009-5851679.html ~rotflmao~
