I can't wait to go fishing! I'm off to Sportsman's Warehouse to take some photos for later. Boots, hats, rods and reels (ugh), a hand net... another though one. This vest didn't take long, but how will it fit? : )

To add bones to this, and to put all the outfit together, I"m finding it is getting to be a large object in vertex room, and the shader list is getting long.

I had fun with importing a skeleton, posing Bob holding the salmon, and then my eMac decided to put me in my place. I tried saving, and that is when it froze. Maybe importing the skeleton did it... I placed it in the left object container, and it came over okay. Is that a good way to import a skeleton? R.

I have been playing with IK on the hands but I need some help. I will be happy to email the file ( the hand with IK ) to anyone interested in playing around with adjusting the IK. I'm working on posting some of the things I've been working with on a site, just need to move it all over to another computer. I like to model my characters from scratch, although it wouldn't be difficult to grab characters of the web and modify them to use as my own. But I don't want to, even though I feel my attempts at humans are second rate. This fisherman won't win any beauty contests. I'd be interested in sharing body parts... that sounds strange, but sharing from this site is not an issue for me. I'll work at posting in My Free Stuff when I get my personal site up. Question: Is there a way to put the IK boxes back in place? I can send the bones back but the blue boxes stay put. thanks

I feel like I smell funny or something. No one is posting to this string. I asked a few questions on IK and vertex size for characters, with no response... but I'm patient. Something funny happened when I went to Sportsman's Warehouse, from the first post in this string. I got busted! First a little guy came by and asked me if I needed help. I was taking digital pictures of boots, camo clothes, hats, etc. "No, I'm just shopping." Then another, and another, then finally the head floor grunt came over and said, "No photos of any kind of our displays." I guess they thought I was from another store. I made up a lame excuse about shopping for someone else who could get out of bed and needed to see the images... that was horrible. Anyway, he said he wouldn't make me erase the pictures if I stop taking more. I was thinking, "Damn right you won't make me erase the pictures!" Looking back, I should have been honest. I was taking pictures for my artwork, for the love of modeling in 3D. Where is the crime in that? R.
