I saw a pic over in the Maya galleries and it inspired me to do this. You can view the pic at the link. As you can see, I have added my own style here.

This is sort of a combination of one of Rochr's images and the image at the link, with a bit of me thrown into the mix. I'm going to deviate considerably from both pix in the final product, but I thought I'd throw it out here for now to see what you guys think. =)

Bryce render with minor postwork in Paint Shop Pro and a bit more postwork in Universe. Over 5000 cubes here, plus a bunch of spheres for the volumetrics in the sky.
