Hi all, please let me know how to cancel a Test Render once it has started, I have tried command full point and spitting blood and swearing. Many thanks in advance. Gizzi

Pressing the ESC key most of the time works better than spitting blood. It will also keep your keyboard much cleaner. But you can still swear while doing it, if you really must.

On the Mac platform you can only cancel a test/area render if you've used the camera icon tool, NOT the keyboard shortcut. In conversations with Eovia, canceling a keyboard shortcut apparently requires a substantial rewrite in code - time that they indicated they'd rather spend on new features. (I tend to agree) But like you, there are times that I've forgotten I have light effects on, do an area render, and then scream, "What have I done?!" and either go eat lunch or force quit the program.

It is a nice way to force lunch. "Sorry, got to go, I accidently started an area render with GI, IL, caustics and 3 gazillion spots with soft shadows set to best with the keyboard shortcut." I must remember that one :-)
