Hi Friends! This morning i've made other tests with several tip objects using Anything Grows from DCG. I'm really satisfied with the results:-) The sphere on the left have 5000 strands, the sphere on the right only 200, but the tip object is really complicated. You can download the file on the next message, remember that the render settings are with GI and AA set to Good, 0,5-0,5 pixel, so switch to raytracing if you want to make a quick test or area render;-) -TOXE

The file, you need to switch the name to .zip, then decompress it:-) -TOXE

The trouble is that the feathers are enough detached from the "bird" and the image that you have seen is from the best camera angle, BTW it's necessary to have a good model before made some other tests... Thanks for the encouragement!! Also, we really need a plug in (or maybe some improvements on Agrows) to have major control on the direction and point of start of the tip objects. Maybe for now the best way to create realistic feathers is to use standard strands. But... -TOXE
