I can finally upgrade to Carrara Pro 4. My question is, should I get the box version or just the download version. What exactly dose one get on the box edition besides the box. I don't care much for the manual unless it has been throughly revised, if it even comes with one. I would appreciate any suggestions from people how already upgraded.

If you do not want the manual, do not order the box version, if you ask me. The content CD has not changed (if it did it is marginal) either, the manual is not throughly revisited. I think some of the visuals were already in the Ray Dream manual. But, you will of course miss TOXE's beautifull box art...

Of course, if you do go with the box, you get the CD's which are nice to have in case your computer fries itself.

The thing with the CD is not that relevant, I can make copies of the installers by burning my on backups. Now this thing about the new modeler, is this supposed to be added to Carrara?, or sold as a stand alone product. Maybe a plug-in that adds the modeler. I just can't believe that Eovia will be adding these features to there current offering. I believe that this will probably happen for Carrara 5 that probably is like 14 more months in to the future. I could be wrong thou, Shonner do you know something I don't?

Any guesses what kind of modeller it is? I am thinking an SDS Silo type thing of some sort.
