I just bought Ground Control, and have the following questions: 1. I tried to load a VistaPro DEM file, but the tops are all sheared flat. Sort of like the demo does. Terregen files are not blocky, so I think it isn't GC thinking its a demo. Any tricks to get VistaPro Dems to load correctly. I'm importing them as Ground Control primitives with full resolution. BTW -- these are dems I created inside VistaPro. 2. Terragen files. I can load these files fine, but when I render, there are trianglar holes in the mesh. 3. Where can I find decent shaders for terrains? I know I will have to learn the shader room now! Thanks in advance, John

Hi John,

If the Terragen stuff is loading properly, GC probably knows it's the demo mode. It might be just the way that VistaPro DEM is or some variation that I've not run across before. If you've got something that you don't think looks right, please forward the file to me and I will take a look. If you have some reference material that shows what it should look like, that would be a bonus.

I haven't seen any terragen files that generate holes, but again if it doesn't look right to you, please forward it to me and I will take a look. I have an update to GC in testing right now that fixes some compatibility issues with USGS DEMs + adds a few new features so this is really good time.
