Playing with the rectangle layer technique by Mark Bremmer. If you don't know what I'm talking about the attached url will show you. It is a pretty smart simple solution. I'm curious Mark if you've tried using modeling to simulate this effect, or manipulated with different reflective or refractive shaders? Brian brian@vizualds.com http://www.vizualds.com

Did a little more tweaking. And played with a skylight. Brian brian@vizualds.com http://www.vizualds.com

I'm flattered one of my 'hacks' is considered a technique worth re-posting! Since a deadline is usually breathing down my neck, my, ummmm, techniques are typically a trick that gives me the look I want in the shortest amount of time. There is probably a blend of modeling and shader finessing that would produce something similar. I just haven't taken the time to figure it out. Mark
