Hey there friends! I need anybody to help me with this little problem I'm having. As you can see I've been working in Poser5, and I've found some problems when working with lights and shadows. PIC #1 I posed a figure, then I placed three lights in front of it, and set one of them with a bigger shadow value. I HAVE NO PROBLEM PIC #2 I added the box prop found in the library, then changed its parameters and placed it behind. THE SHADOWS APPEAR ONLY ON THE SIDE OF THE BOX PIC #3 I changed the box texture and replaced it with the GROUND TEXTURE found in the library. THE SHADOWS APPEAR AGAIN PICS #4 & 5 I tried with diffrent colors and textures and the shadows appear in some but not in all of them. I want to know what is going on. Am I doing something wrong? Is there something about the colors and the lights that I need to know? And finally PIC #6 This is the reason why I started to check this light thing out I created this room and I placed this torch on it, changed its parameter to CAST NO SHADOW, plus I added a spot light right under it, HERE I DON'T SEEM TO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE SHADOWS BUT WITH THE LIGHT IT DOESN'T LIGHT THE COLUMN EVEN THOUGH I SET THE ANGLE BIG ENOUGH TO REACH IT.

In Pic #6 you also have a strange rectangular shadow on the roof. I got this problem before, and what my problem was that I had another material, a wave deformer or something, that was still casting a shadow. Check through carefully for any other materials and make sure they are also have shadows off. The problem you may have with your other objects? Check their properties and see if they can cast shadows/receive shadows.

Thanx for the comment! Is the same setting cast and receive shadows?
