...that there would be some by now. Steph Petite is the best figure yet. She's got quite the hot bod. Great joints. So yeah, I don't mind her naked... But geez, you introduce the greatest figure of all time and little to nothing to back it up with? No problem, I'll convert what I can from V3 wardrobe... But c'mon Daz, Windswept hair??? We've had that for a year, at least. New clothes for V3? Ug. And am I the only one that hates painted on clothes? -WTB

I know what you mean about the painted on clothes. However, the displacement mapping experiments look pretty good.

I'm not too fond of the new steph, shes a tad uggers, not too keen on that figure shape either... But greatly improved by altering the CR2 and injecting V3's head morphs into her... No clothes is probably why i don't really have any use for her.... The only clothes there seems to be is the usual assortment of fantasy garb, nothing turns me off more than that.... and then you have the drab ordinary stuff.. but once thing I have noticed is... NO SHOES!! or very very few... I only really use V3.... but if you're going to produce a new figure that can't share clothing, I would think it would be a good idea to have a decent wardobe for her in the wings as well.... anyhoo... night night -SimderZ- xXx

I agree - I was gnawing at the proverbial bit for Steph Petite and I purchased her and both morph packages as soon as she was released. I had a small wad of cash saved up for the clothes and shoes that would shortly follow as well... but it hasn't yet happened. You're not alone - I despise painted on clothes. At least she looks good naked (and the fantasy dress is useful with some work).

I know this won't please the people who don't like boring old real clothes, but there are some real clothes pending at Daz. I like Stephanie, and Steve Shanks has produced some very pretty outfits for her. I'll continue to use her since she does take the V3 textures beautifully, and she gives a nice alternative figure.

I love Steph, but I'm surprised there's so little for her. After all the stuff they had for M3, I was expecting a similar blitz for S3. The lack of shoes is especially noticeable. PoserPros seems to have done the best at churning out Steph stuff. Or maybe they just organize their store best, by character, so I could find it all. :-D

dialyn, do you mean that there are some real-world clothes for S3 pending? If so, that's good news. DAZ got an earful about not offering enough support for prior figures, which as I understand is why they had quite a bit ready to go along with the release of V3 and (especially) M3. What I find odd about this is that we were told that the release of S3 was delayed so that it could be released along with enough accompanying items. When S3 was eventually released, we got some stuff, Billy-t's outfit being my favorite, but most of the rest was either slight reworkings of a couple of V3 outfits or updates to make existing hair props fit. There was no substantial wardrobe for S3 released along with the mesh, and there still isn't one, at least not at DAZ. Oh well, instead of focussing on this I think that people who want more "stuff" for S3 should let DAZ staff know in a nice way. I'm not sure what that might be, since you can't be sure that they see what's written here or in the forums at their site, but some sort of friendly campaign for more support for S3 couldn't hurt!

Yes, that's what I mean. And it's worth the wait, I think you will agree if you've been over to the Product Showcase Forum to see the previews. :) I don't know about shoes, though. Someone else will have to address that.

Well being a fan of fantasy garb I think that outfit pictured above looks excellent, and I adore secretheart's clothing textures. :) I've been pretty satisfied with Steph, her default face isn't my favorite but its easily morphed into alternate styles. Steve Shanks over at Poserworld has already released quite a few nice items for her, including some real world clothes like jeans and shorts, tops, a jacket, evening dress, sporty shoes and some stylin' sandals. I just renewed my sub at PW, its been well worth the price to me! ~ Molly

well.. one way something is presented might say "sci-fi" but another might say "school girl". The beauty of this medium is that as long as someone is thinking "out of the box" things can change as quickly as you can click :)

The outfit looks pretty versatile to me, especially with a snazzy catsuit texture underneath. Armor textures for fantasy, patent leather and studs for sci-fi, plaid and khaki for real world. But that's just me. :)

I'm waiting on that outfit (and to know secretheart's doing textures is pretty nifty... lol) and about three others posted in various places. And I know for a fact there is some new stuff for her coming up fairly soon -- more fantasy, I'm afraid, thatn plain -- that includes some fairly nice stuff. And some of it will be free... (looks innocent)

I think EdW's hanging out at Rendervisions these days. His M3 Winter Jacket is for sale there, so he might end up selling the Stephanie clothing, too. I'll ask him about it.

I seem to recall shoes were slow to appear for V3 too - with SteveShanks again the exception.

One thing this brings to mind is the "Can't win for losing" scenario.

We hear - how do we get (Figure 1)'s clothes to fit (Figure 2)?? rant rant rant gripe gripe gripe They should make these clothes be able to fit more than just (Figure 1) so as to maximize our use of these products...../rant rant rant gripe gripe gripe

So....they redid the hair - which are updates to hairs already available - result: instant added value at no extra cost!

They remapped clothes that were already out and majorly popular and fitted them to StP.....

I dunno - new clothes are nice. Refitted clothes are nice too. Naked....can be good as well... sits on her hands and decides to be patient and wait to see what comes out for Steph instead of complaining...

Lucy Fur.... It takes almost as long to refit a set of clothing items to a figure as it does to make a completely new set. By the time, you refit the mesh, recut the mesh to match the new figure, redo all the joints and fall off zones you could almost have a new set done. I would rather just make new outfits. Ed

I don't think they actually refit any items for Steph. The morphing fantasy dress is actually an entirely different mesh, which is why the textures made for Vicky's MFD won't fit Steph's. The second skin textures are just skin textures, really. No refitting needed. They should work pretty well on any unimesh character, I imagine. And BTW, Ed says his Steph Petite outfit is almost ready. Keep an eye on the Rendervisions store. ;-)

That's new info to me, EDW - which I find cool - and understandable.

Mind you - I'm not dissin anyone who makes new clothes or refits existing clothes - I'm just saying that there are always those crying out for one or the other or both & all we should endeavor to do is be patient because both will eventually arrive.
